[ecm] Episcopal Campus Ministries - homecoming edition

Blessings!

 

            Actually we're not doing anything special for Homecoming @ ECM.
The Episcopal Convention is happening in Denver on Saturday.  Kacey McClain
will represent ECM & CSU w/ seat & voice, at the Bishop's request...

 

            We had a great time on our ECM getaway to the mountains near
Estes last Sunday afternoon.  Burgers, birthday cake (happy birthday to both
Kacey and Eric!), and a rousing game of "Apples to Apples."  At the 7 pm
dinner back @ St Paul's, a delicious chili.

 

            This week: our regularly scheduled communion service @ 6 pm on
Sunday -- "Creation & Word"  Genesis 1:31-2:3, Psalm 104:25-32, and John
1:1-5, 12-14, 16-18.  Afterwards, special guest:  Carol McNamee, retired
Human Resources exec at Qwest.  "How to give good interview" will be her
starting point -- bring your questions.  Dinner @ 7 -- no menu yet, but
they're always good, eh?

 

            In 2 weeks there will be a great weekend at the YMCA camp in
Estes Park - a Provincial gathering of Episcopal college students from
across the Midwest.  A couple great speakers, time to play & visit & worship
& enjoy.  I need to know tomorrow (Thursday) if you'd like to go - Oct
19-21.  I'll be up there Fri & Sat.  It's being hosted by Canterbury
Colorado (the Episcopal campus group in Boulder) & Douglas Fenton+, the
young adult ministries officer for the Episcopal Church, will be there.
Want to know more about missionary opportunities, fellowships, intern
positions?  Douglas is the man.  

 

            Hey, look me up tomorrow (Thurs) at the LSC Flea Market, across
from the bookstore.  I'll be there from 11-1 at the "Talk w/ a Pastor"
table.  You can always bring a friend by, just to prove you know a priest...
