Young Adults Gather in South Africa at TEAM2007 Conference
Over 400 leaders from around the world gathered in Boksburg, South Africa
for TEAM (Towards Effective Anglican Mission), a conference focusing on the
Millennium Development Goals organized by the Anglican Church of Southern
Africa. While there has been excellent coverage of the event through
Episcopal News Service, there is very little featuring the voices of young
adults. To this end, we have organized a blog of young adult delegates'
thoughts about this event at: http://team2007youngadults.wordpress.com/.
Please feel free to submit comments and feedback.

Young adults at Christ Church, Springfield, reach out to the community
through art
Spirituality in the Arts
The March 2nd event, "Spirituality in the Arts" was a true success. We had
16 artists. We had photography, pottery, paintings, sketches, fabrics and
musical art work. Our youngest artist was a 17 year old from Kickapoo who
displayed her anime work. Over 250 people came through the doors from 6-9pm
to look at the artwork and to experience the labyrinth. At 9pm we started
the U2charist. Using music from the rock group U2 we celebrated the
Eucharist. Read <http://www.episcopalchurch.org/49662_83256_ENG_HTM.htm>

Young adult intern experiences the UN Commission
on the Status of Women
by Amanda Akes
One NYIP intern in the midst of the Anglican Delegation to the United
Nations Commission on the Status of Women
I am an intern in the New York Intern Program (NYIP), one of many domestic
internship programs available through the Episcopal Church. I began my
journey of simple living as a part of an intentional Christian community
focused on social justice and spiritual reflection in late August of 2006.
When not spending time with my community at St. Mary's Episcopal Church in
West Harlem, I can be found on the fifth floor of the Episcopal Church
Center, in the Office of Women's Ministries. Read
