Hi there,

More snow? I didn't order it. You gotta remember, I'm in
sales, not management.

Tonight at 7 pm - Holy Eucharist at St Paul's - Sarah Beetch
will give the homily. Matt Rogers, Veronica Richard & Joseph Chaisson will
lead the music. I hope to see you tonight!

This Sunday: we won't hold our weekly dinner & study due to
something called the Superbowl. It seems many of us have prior commitments
(parties) to attend. But we will resume our 5 pm Sunday dinner & Bible
study on Feb. 11. As for the Bible study - "can I come if I've never been
to a Bible study before?" ABSOLUTELY! This is a 101 class, no prior
experience necessary. We take off our shoes, sit on the carpeted floor on
beanbag chairs, with snacks and printouts of the scripture section and the
lyrics. On 2/11 we'll be looking at "She's Leaving Home" (from the Sgt.
Pepper album, 1967), Exodus 32 and Matthew 26:47-56.

Pathways to Ministry

Internships in the Episcopal Church

Discerning God's call in your life? Pathways to ministry exists to offer
interested, gifted young adults paid internships opportunities to explore
the possibility of ordained ministry in the Episcopal Church.

Summer Internships: June-July, 2007

Each summer a group of college juniors and seniors will work as interns
within our church for six to eight weeks, giving them the opportunity to
participate firsthand in all aspects of ministry and parish life.

10 Month Internship: September, 2007 to June 2008

We have a 10 month, intensified internship for a recent college graduate who
is seriously considering entering seminary and beginning the ordination
process.

If you have ever wondered what a life in ministry would be like, then this
opportunity to explore ministry as a vocation is for you!

As graduation approaches you are no doubt trying to decide what you will do
next year, or even for the next 5 years. I want to let you know more about
opportunities in the public interest field.

U.S.PIRG is a federation of state-based public interest advocacy groups.
This year we are hiring 100 graduating college students to determine where
this country is going: to solve our energy problems; to reform the campaign
finance system; to safeguard individuals from identity theft; to fight
hunger and homelessness; and make an impact on many other public interest
issues.

We will be holding an attending the CSU Career Fair on February 8th and I
will be conducting on-campus interviews the following day, on February 9th.
I encourage you to participate in either opportunity.

For more information I invite you to check out our website, or send me an
email at: rachel at copirgstudents.org.

Sincerely,

And finally, a prayer by Jim Cotter, our speaker at St Paul's last weekend,
from his book Out of the Darkness. Into the Darkness: Prayer's Daily Round:

Giver of life,

Giver of the nights and days,

Giver of this moment now,

open our lips

that we may speak truthfully,

open our hearts

that we may love courageously,

open our minds

that we may think clearly,

open our loins

that we may create passionately,

open our whole being

that we may love wholeheartedly,

this moment now,

through this and all our days,

and at the last.

Amen.

In Christ,

Rob+
