Wow, the snow's finally melting, eh? Keep your feet dry.

This has been an educational week for me - I've been introduced to Facebook.
Check out the ECM page at http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=2230590958
Feel free to join!

Author and poet Jim Cotter's visit this weekend should be
outstanding. We're part of his North American tour this winter - he
preached at Grace Cathedral in San Francisco last Sunday. This Sunday (Jan
28) he'll preach at St Paul's at 7:30 & 10 am, and will lead the 9 am Adult
Forum. His topic for the forum is "Soundings from a deep depression." Jim
wrote Brainsquall about his experience of depression. "We don't talk about
it very much in the church, do we?" he asked me. So he aims to change that
this Sunday. You are invited!

On Saturday Jim will present a workshop from 9 am - noon on
daily prayer. Go over to http://www.cottercairns.co.uk
<http://www.cottercairns.co.uk/> for his site. We'll have some of his
books for sale on Saturday, and he'll have order forms as well. On Saturday
at 7 pm we'll have a wine and cheese reception for Jim - he'll give readings
and will sign books in a less formal setting than in the morning.

When he leaves us next Monday he's on his way to Kalamazoo for a
campus appearance at Western Michigan University. After Atlanta Jim will be
at Princeton University making a presentation with Esther de Waal on prayer.
After a visit to Philadelphia he'll fly back home to Wales.

I'm so pleased that St Paul's is able to bring a world-class
author and teacher to Fort Collins! I hope you'll be able to come by.

This Sunday at 5 pm: Free food! And to begin our 6-part Bible
Study with the Beatles we'll look at Lennon's Imagine side-by-side with Luke
12:13-21. We'll have Sunday dinner every week of the semester, so plan to
come. Your friends are welcome too.

Next Wednesday (Jan 31) at 7 pm: Holy Eucharist at St Paul's
led by you. It really is student-led, all you have to do is ask. Matt
Rogers, PhD candidate over at Atmospheric Science, is a fine bass-player and
group leader. With Veronica Richard and Joseph Chaisson on guitars we'll
have something different from Sunday mornings. Do you play or sing? Come
check it out. We'll worship on Wednesdays throughout the semester.

And look for the ECM table at the Student Organization fair in
the Lory Center's big ballroom tomorrow (Jan 24). If you don't have a
yellow cup w/ the top 10 reasons to be an Episcopalian, you've GOT to come
by & get 1.

            Blessings and grace,

Rob+
