Blessings -
Tonight at 7 pm: Holy Eucharist accompanied by guitars. Brenda
Cordova will give the homily. There's a soup supper at 5:30 pm, and the 6
pm program will be a presentation and discussion on "One in Christ - there
is one Body." I hope to see you here!
Last Sunday evening our Bible study was on John 3:1-21, the story
of Nicodemus. We held it alongside Paul McCartney's "Pipes of Peace" (1983)
to see what happened. The musical appeal for love, joy and peace fit
amazingly well with the scriptural not that "God did not send the Son into
the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved
through him."
This Sunday at 5 pm - "Eleanor Rigby" and John 4 (Jesus & the
Samaritan woman).
Dinner at 6 pm was scrumptious soup from the kitchen of Dave &
Judy Matthews. Another delicious meal is planned for this Sunday, and
you're invited.
And how about going snow tubing at Beaver Meadows this Sunday
afternoon? Here's info from Sarah Beetch:
Meet at St. Paul's at 11:30 - Bring a sack lunch and we'll eat together
before leaving at 12 noon for Beaver Meadows. We'll snow tube from 1-3, then
return to St. Paul's by 4PM. Also, we'll be taking some hot cocoa along so
we can warm up! Cost is $6.00 per person. Make your reservation for the
"carpool" as soon as possible - so that we can make sure we have enough
drivers! (Don't forget your "snow clothes") Bible study will follow for ECM
members at 5 with a home cooked meal at 6. Feel free to bring friends!
Please either reply to this message or email me if you are interested so I
can get the numbers figured out for rides. Also, please let me know if you
have any questions. I look forward to seeing you all there!

I've told the ONE folks they can count on ECM for this.
The ONE Campaign to Make Poverty History is a coalition of over 100
poverty focused aid organizations. Our religious oriented partners include
the Episcopal Church, the United Methodist Committee On Relief, and the
Children's Christian Fund. A complete list of our partners can be found at
http://www.one.org/partners. ONE Fort Collins is partnering with local
churches to put on a U2charist, a nondenominational Christian service of
word and table set to contemporary secular music, including some by U2. All
proceeds from the offering will benefit a ONE partner organization dedicated
to meeting the Millennium Development Goals.

"Hear me groping in these glooms, Lord, and stretch forth your
right hand to me. Shed your light on me, call me back from my wanderings.
Bring yourself into me so that I may in the same way return to you. Amen."
(St Augustine)
As we walk the path of Lent together, I am
Yours in Christ,
