[ecm] Back to school w/ ECM

Blessings!

I'm looking forward to a great year ahead. It'll have to cool off here in
the Fort eventually. In the meantime, we've got some cool stuff coming up
with Episcopal Campus Ministries.

Every Sunday, there will be a student service at 6 pm. This will be the
touchstone of the week, a time to chill with God, a time to bring a friend
for some calm & quiet. Then dinner @ 7 pm. Episcopalians in town are great
cooks, and this will be a nice meal. We'll have "to go" boxes, for leftovers
or even it you need to eat & just can't stay. Some evenings we'll have an
informal program or talk. Beginning August 26...

We've got something happening every month -- check the ECM page for the
calendar. Retreats, a work day, helping with the Diocesan Convention in
Denver...

At St Paul's this Sunday (Aug 19) the 10 am service will be on the lawn.
There will be a jazz band leading the music, and a special prayer & blessing
for all teachers & profs. Stay for free lunch & a concert by Fantazia
(Brazilian jazz). 

If you'd like to help with some of the "back to school" stuff, please let me
know. We'll be giving away bottled water & cookies on the first day of
classes, Aug 20, at the corner of W Elizabeth & Shields. We'll be working
with Lutheran Campus Ministries, our neighbors around the corner. Come by
for the freebies between 7-9 am, or come help if you'd like.

We'll have a table at the student involvement fair on Lory Plaza on Wed Aug
29. Please drop by -- we'll have balloon animals to give away, and a dog or
2 for you to pet (seriously!). Let me know if you'd like to help staff the
table any time between 10-3...
