And on Thursday? U2CHARIST at 7 pm in the north ballroom of LSC! This
should be outstanding. Look for the ads in the Collegian this Wed & Thurs…
and bring friends. Here is some of the spin:
JESUS ROCKS! Episcopal Campus Ministries @ CSU and the ONE Campaign of Ft
Collins will host a U2charist at the Lory Student Center (North Ballroom)
this Thursday, Nov 16 at 7 pm. This sing-along dance-along worship service
will collect an offering to benefit Heifer International. You’re invited to
be present when ancient rituals meet rock-n-roll in this celebration of the
Holy Communion and the music of U2!
And try to catch this TONIGHT:
U2charist to air on ABC's Nightline
[ENS] The national news show Nightline filmed the November 3 "U2charist"

Celebrate! At the River: A Leadership Conference for College Students
Engaging Their Faith for Change, Dec. 28 - Jan. 1, Hilton Riverside, New
Orleans, LA.
This event is sponsored by the Council for Ecumenical Student Christian
Ministry (CESCM). CESCM is excited to announce that this year’s conference
will be in held in New Orleans, LA. As New Orleans is anything but a typical
city, don’t expect your typical conference. This isn’t a mission trip
either. It is a Christian leadership experience like no other. We will
interact personally and spiritually with New Orleans natives as they share
their experiences. You will learn how they have battled the waters that
tested their faith and forged into new deltas of change and rebirth. Most
of all, we as Christians will come together to better understand our call as
God’s followers in times of crisis, distress and injustice. For more
information, go to HYPERLINK

There is still time to register for the Celebrate: the Ecumenical National
Gathering. Make your way over to HYPERLINK
"http://www.cescm.org/Celebrate06/" \nhttp://www.cescm.org/Celebrate06/ to
download a registration form. With over 1100 students expected, it
promises to be an exciting and forming experience.

And I thought this was very cool…

Local parishes accommodate young adults attending November 5 seating service
By Daphne Mack
[ENS] More than 30 young adults who arrived in Washington, D.C. to attend
the November 5 formal seating of 26th Presiding Bishop Katharine Jefferts
Schori in Washington National Cathedral, were housed over night by St.
Thomas Parish in Dupont Circle and St. Albans Episcopal Church.
The pilgrimage to Washington began as a conversation between Thom Chu,
program director for Ministries with Young People at the Episcopal Church
Center, and Dustin Cole, parish administrator at St. John's Episcopal Church
in Georgetown, in the Washington, D.C. area, when they attended at the Young
Adult Ministry Network Gathering in Denver, Colorado. As the November 4-5
weekend of services celebrating Jefferts Schori's investiture and seating at
Washington National Cathedral neared, preparations began and the appeal went
out.
"It has truly been a collaborative effort," said Cole, a parishioner at St.
Thomas'. "A friend who works at the Cathedral secured a number of tickets. I
then spoke with the vestry [at St. Thomas] and found space for people to
sleep. Plus we have a bus from one of the women who runs the senior program
to transport everyone to the Cathedral."
