[ecm] U2charist July 15 @ St Paul's

Hi all,

 

            I trust your summer continues to be rich & full, whatever you
are doing and wherever you may be!  If you're in town, I hope you'll come to
St Paul's for the 5 PM service on Saturday, July 15.  We'll be holding a
"U2charist," the sing-along dance-along communion service set to the music
of Bono & band.  I'm really looking forward to it!  

 

Would you be able to help make this happen?  Here's the list of things I
need help with:

*      PowerPoint presentation.  I've got all the pieces, I think, but need
someone who can put it all together, including music.  Plus I've only got a
PP viewer, not the real program.

*      Bulletin prep - closely related to the PP.  Not a big job, I think.

*      Music acquisition.  If we can't find someone with the U2 music on CD
or MP3, we'll have to download.  I've got a list.

*      Sound.  I've got one possible source for sound, but please let me
know if you've got a line on speakers & sound board.

*      Projector - this is a key part of things!  St Paul's should own one,
but they're still a bit pricey  ($2000 or so, AFAIK)

*      Chalice ministers - 2, I think.

*      Thanks, Laurie Gudim, for taking on the "worship environment"
preparation in Bacon Hall!

*      I would love to have set-up and clean-up help on the day of!

*      And who'd like to track down ear plugs in bulk?  I think they're out
there.   :-)

 

Please spread the word about the service - I think this be just the thing
for folks who've given up on "church," and for those who've never tried it.
PRAY for this, and let me know how you can help.  I'll be out of town next
Mon-Thu, so your help with this or recruiting others will be a great
