Hi ho,

This Sunday – I hope you have this in your calendar – you are invited to
have an authentic New Orleans Creole gumbo for dinner at St Paul’s with the
Episcopal Campus Ministry. NOLA native Barb Fasterling is making the REAL
thing. Come by at 5:30 for dinner. Stay after for a post-Olympics viewing
of the minor comedy classic “Cool Runnings,” starring John Candy. Have you
seen it? All about the Jamaican bobsled team – based on a true story,
f’real. We’ll also make some plans for the rest of the semester. Hope to
see you Sunday!

2 days later, on Shrove Tuesday, come on by the church for a pancake dinner
between 5 – 7 PM. Only $3/person. “All the pancakes you care to eat,” plus
sausage, applesauce, beverage, and FUN! You can even get your face painted.
Think of it as a little Mardi Gras North

Ash Wednesday follows on the very next day – we’ll have Holy Eucharist with
the Imposition of Ashes at 7 AM, Noon & 7 PM. Begin Lent in an appropriate
way. “Remember that you are dust, and to dust you shall return.”

The very next Saturday, March 4, St Paul’s will host the Taizé Ministry
Workshop, led by Brad Berglund. It’s a superb class, I’ve had the privilege
of working with Brad before. If you’re a musician, bring your axe. And if
you’re not, come on along. We’ll learn about the community in France, the
ministry they’ve carried on for 60 years, and the particular attraction this
movement hold for young people around the world. Cost is $15, $5 for
students, and $000 for folks connected w/ St Paul’s (including you!)

God & Coffee will be in session again on Thursday, March 2, and again on the
23rd. Drop by the lobby of the CSU library between 9:30 – 10:30 AM for
beverage and Divinity. The exact recipe will rely on you, your presence,
and the caffeine-delivery system of your choice.

Bible study resumes tonight at 7 PM at Gwyneth’s place in Ram’s Pointe (W
Elizabeth St west of Taft Hill Rd). Contact her at 481-6436 or
andrewsg at simla.colostate.edu

I didn’t hear from anyone about the Provincial gathering of Episcopal
students in Spearfish, SD, on the last weekend of April. Don’t you want to
go just to see if there’s really a place called Spearfish? It may not be
too late, drop me a line if you think you’d like to get away w/ your peeps
in the spring

Bountiful blessings be with you this week!

In Christ,

Rob+
