Next Tuesday:  Hobbits, Dragons, and the Christian Experience will begin at
7 PM in the North Ballroom of Lory.  This promises to be outstanding - I've
heard presenter Neil Riley do variations on this over the last few years
(he's been doing them nationwide for more that 10), and it's great.  He uses
PowerPoint plus his extensive knowledge to paint a vivid picture of both
Middle Earth and its creator JRR Tolkien.  I encourage you to come, and
bring a friend to this program sponsored by Episcopal Campus Ministries @
CSU.  We'll also be giving away the famous yellow stadium cups with the top
10 reasons to be an Episcopalian, according to Robin Williams.  

 

Neil will follow up on Monday, Dec. 5, with A Lion, a Witch, and a Wardrobe
to Christian Virtue beginning at 7 PM in the North Ballroom again.  This
will be on Narnia and its creator CS Lewis.  That following Friday the movie
on the first of the Chronicles hits the theaters.  Save the date.

 

Our first Bible Study was held last night at the home of Gwyneth Andrews in
Rams Pointe.  Very cool!  This Tuesday group will meet at 7 PM - but not for
3 weeks (next Tuesday:  Hobbits, Dragons etc; week after - 2 days before
Thanksgiving).  Next Bible study will be Nov. 29.  You can reach Gwyneth at
andrewsg at simla.coloradostate.edu  This is a beginning study - you don't need
years of head stuff to come & have fun.  Try it - you'll like it!

 

My boo-boo:  Last week I said the Exam Week Open Houses would be in November
- I lied.  The popular Study Hall @ St Paul will run from 7 - 11 PM, Sunday
thru Wednesday, December 11, 12, 13 & 14.

 

And don't forget - dinner together at church on Sunday, Dec. 4, 5:30 PM.
Activity:  making & decorating Xmas cookies.  Hey, take some home to Mom for
a change!

 

 

Above all - enjoy the blessings of Christ around you.  The City of God is
closer than you realize!
